The Real Estate Academy recently hosted a continuing education program, which this year attracted over 100 students to the three-day seminar held at Manhattan’s New York Athletic Club.

Lisa Breier Urban, managing partner and co-founder of the real estate law firm, Breier Deutschmeister Urban & Fromme, was a guest speaker at the Academy, among many others, and spoke of the role lawyers play in real estate transactions and what to look for in a board package. She stressed that brokers and clients need to keep the real estate lawyers informed about any problems with the apartment or any problems with appliances, systems or leaks so that the lawyer can better advise and represent their client.

Industry insiders from Citi Habitats, Prudential Douglas Elliman, The Corcoran Group, Fox Residential Group, Fillmore Real Estate and Coldwell Banker Hunt Kennedy were also invited to address topics regarding the real estate market, co-op and condo boards, board packages, financing and the future of real estate brokers.
